Seems I am a little late with this update, so what has happened over the past month?.

Well it has certainly been an eventful one. A bug emerged that did a number on the frame rate in some levels of SAKURA, luckily after a few days of testing the issue has been fixed and the game is running at a smooth frame rate now on the Nintendo Switch.

Only the addition of some art remains in the final level and boss level at which point I will begin working on and adding the updated music, and fix any remaining issues ready for the game to be released, which I am hoping will be in time for Christmas.

The long talked about trailer and a wider variety of screenshots will hopefully be popping up on here and across social media pretty soon.

So until the next update, I hope you are all keeping well during this roller coaster of a year, and make sure to stay safe, stay strong and stay sane.

It's been over 3 weeks since my last update and I have made some good progress, I'm now down to the final 3 levels and the boss fights, everything is coming along very nicely and (fingers crossed) I don't see any major issues cropping up.

The trailer I mentioned in my previous update is now on hold and will be done after the completion of the game, BUT look out for new screenshots on the Sakura page coming this weekend.

That's pretty much all I have to add for this update, I will do a further update this Friday (23rd October).

A short update this week.

I've had a surpisingly productive week and managed to get two levels rebuilt, leaving only 8 of the original levels left which i might not start until midweek as I really want to get a trailer put together and out into the wild which will mean fixing the few minor bugs that remain, so I'll see how things go.

I also have a few ideas for the new boss battles which I think players will enjoy but they won't be added until the remaining levels have been rebuilt.

I'm confident in saying that I'm ahead of the timeframe I had thought I would need which is nice.

A new website and a new dev diary/blog, so let me catch you up on everything that I've done so far for the release of SAKURA IN GAMELAND on Nintendo Switch™.

I've been working on the levels in order as that's easier for me and I'm now upto level six which I will be starting tomorrow, so far I haven't encountered any major issues, a few minor bugs have popped up due to the resizing of sprites and adjustments to their ground checks etc but everything else is coming along smoothly.

I have redesigned elements of the levels to make for a more enjoyable and challenging experience as well as tweeked some mechanics, and will hopefully make time over the next week to put out a teaser trailer for the game on the Pixel Bamboo Software Bitchute channel.
